A “pro” since the age 14, he secured a record deal with his first band with Capitol Records. His songs have been recorded by independent artists; he’s won Billboard and Rocky Mountain song contests, and signed with music publisher BME. Neil’s songs have also appeared on Saturday Night Live and Nickelodeon. It’s a good sign you’re a great songwriter when Willie Nelson wants to cover one of your songs. Nelson chose Skip's song "Don't Bet The Farm" as somewhat of a theme song for the Farm Aid concerts. Skip’s songs show a depth of insight -- as well as a wry sense of humor. He’s a well known face around Philly music and sports scenes, including Phillies and WIP radio. |
