SONG CRITIQUES
for artists/songwriters that want to know how their songs stack up against the current market. Whether you are writing for pleasure, for your band, or for pitching to other artists, we can give you valuable feedback that will help you to acheive your goals! Song critiques are currently done by Sherri Mullen, who is the President/Creative Director of RDSD Publishing, a Regional Songwriting Workshop Coordinator (Eastern Pennsylvania) for the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), a member of Country Music Association (CMA), publishing member of both ASCAP & BMI, and as a writer is a four time recipient of the ASCAP PLUS Award. Sherri has extensive exposure to the commercial songwriting market in all genres, through her efforts in NSAI, her experience as a internet broadcaster (where she created & hosted a popular internet radio show for 4 years), and as a music television show co-host for two years, where she gained insight & exposure to the musical styles of various independent & national artists. Sherri is also an award winning singer/songwriter who has independently released three full length CD's, and performs regularly in the Central Pennsylvania area and surrounding region. Her music has been featured on radio stations, and several film/tv shows around the world, and has also been licensed for projects by other artists. All songs will be critiqued based on structure, lyrics, melody, commercial appeal, and more! Songs need NOT be professionally recorded...in fact, it is advised that you send your songs for critique BEFORE you venture into the studio, so that you can take some of the suggestions offered and rework the song to reach it's full potential. Rough draft recordings with guitar/vocal are just fine! However if you have professionally recorded material that you'd like critiqued based on readiness for radio play, we can cover that too! Having someone evaluate your work objectively leads to uncovering areas of strength and weakness as a songwriter, which can only help the serious songwriter to hone his/her craft and acheive their musical goals!!
