DO YOU WANNA WALK GOOD
(Sherri Mullen & Dave Kelly Copyright ©2004)

I went to Jamaica on my honeymoon
Heard the water down there is real warm
I got off the plane and these people came
Up to me in a big ole swarm

One wanted my shoes, one asked to braid my hair
And just as I got ready to flee
One fellow smiled and he held out his hand
And this is what he said to me

(CHORUS)

Hey Mon - DO YOU WANNA WALK GOOD
I got a little something for you right here if you think you should
Can you spare ten dollars for me - do you think you could
Hey Mon - DO YOU WANNA WALK GOOD

I bolted out of there - ran to the bus
When I arrived at my hotel
There he was in the lobby - his name was bobby
And I think he had something to sell

He walked up to me as I started to flee
His words kept ringing in my head
Things didn't seem right - I was filled with fright
This is what that fellow said

(REPEAT CHORUS)

I saw him again just a few days later
Hanging out and acting strange
He pulled out a package - hand it to a tourist
And the tourist handed him some change

Police came and put em' both in shackles
That fellow's face got real red
As I walked nearer - it all became clearer
Then I knew what he meant when he said

(REPEAT CHORUS)

So if you go to Jamaica and are asked to "walk good"
You better turn and run the other way
Or you may find yourself in a little cell
Somewhere in Montego Bay

So heed my advice - Jamaican jails aren't nice
Think twice if you think you should
It's a big price to pay and suffice to say
When you get out
You might not be walking so good!!

(REPEAT CHORUS)
