HEAL ME
(R. Brown / J. Matejka / A. Matejka Copyright ©2010)

Santa held that fragile boy on his knee
Said, “Now son, where’s your list, the one for me?”
The boy said, “I don’t have a list
But Santa, I do have just one wish.

I can’t play ball and that ain’t fair
I want to walk away from my wheelchair

(CHORUS)

Santa, please, give me a chance
Help me walk and run and dance
I’ve been as good as I can be
But I know you’re busy Christmas Eve
So I’ll forgive you if you can’t HEAL ME.”

Late that night a man sat home teary eyed
Santa suit crumpled up by his side
He wiped his eyes and said a prayer
Said “Lord, if you can hear me way up there,

A little boy needs more than I can do
His words to me were meant for you.”
He said…

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Years went by with no sign of that boy
Till one Christmas Eve
Santa’s eyes filled right up with joy
When a bright eyed kid walked up and said,

(CHORUS)

“Santa once there was no chance
But now I walk and run and dance
They finally found a cure for me
And just last night I had this dream
Oh that you and I teamed up to HEAL ME.”
